Lakers Roster Updates: Cumberland Signed, Kaluma Waived
EL SEGUNDO, CA – The Los Angeles Lakers announced a pair of roster moves today, signing guard Jarron Cumberland and waiving forward Arthur Kaluma. This marks the first entry in our new “Roster Updates” series, which will track the team’s player transactions throughout the 2025-26 season.

- Signed: Jarron Cumberland (Guard)
- Waived: Arthur Kaluma (Forward)
The 6-foot-5 Cumberland, a former standout at the University of Cincinnati, joins the Lakers after most recently playing for the Winnipeg Sea Bears in the Canadian Elite Basketball League. He brings NBA G League experience and provides additional depth at the guard position.
Kaluma, a 6-foot-8 forward who signed an Exhibit 10 contract with the Lakers in July, is now a free agent. Both players are considered likely candidates to join the South Bay Lakers, the team’s G League affiliate, as training camp approaches.
