LOS ANGELES– — Norman Powell’s 23 points helps lead the Clippers to an upset win over the Warriors 102-99 on Monday Night at the Intuit Dome.
With the win, the Clippers have now won their last four games inside of their new $2 billion home.
Powell scores 20 or more points for the first time since ending his 10-game streak was snapped against the Houston Rockets. James Harden added 12 points and 16 assists.
It was the defensive performance that won the game for the Clippers. The Warriors came into the game averaging a whopping 121.3 points per game only behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Boston Celtics.
In a slow paced 2000s type of game. The Clippers made it tough for the Warriors throughout the night.
Golden State scored their lowest total of points in a game this season tonight against Los Angeles.
The Clippers physicality and toughness was too much for the undersized Warriors team.
Stephen Curry finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists for the Warriors.
The Clippers win puts them a game above .500 at 8-7 and this loss is the Warriors third loss of the season.
The Clippers will look to keep their home winning streak going when they face off against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night.
