INGLEWOOD, Calif. – – — Norman Powell’s 26 points led a balance attack as the Clippers hold on late to beat the Golden State Warriors 102-92 on Friday night.
This was Powell’s fifth straight game with at least 26 or more points.
The Clippers had 6 players score in double figures in the win. James Harden added 18 points and seven assists while Ivica Zubac chipped in with 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Things got interesting in the fourth when the Warriors cut a 19-point deficit to three points.
The Warriors forward Moses Moody knocked won a three with 2:30 remaining in the fourth quarter to cut the lead to 91-88. The Clippers went on an 11-4 run to finish the game and pick up the win.
The Warriors were without superstar Steph Curry and Draymond Green.
With the win, the Clippers are now 11-2 in their last 13 games at home.
The Clippers will visit New Orleans on Monday night to face the Pelicans and begin a three-game trip.
