USC had an all-around clinic on both ends of the court as the Trojans delivered an unbelievable  93-44 blowout victory over Cal State Fullerton. The game was marked by stellar shooting percentages, defensive prowess, and a standout performance from freshman and rising star JuJu Watkins.

The Trojans showcased their offensive efficiency by shooting an impressive 50% from the field, a statistic that underscored their ability to convert scoring opportunities. On the contrary, Cal State Fullerton struggled to find the basket, managing only a 30.5% shooting accuracy, highlighting the stark contrast in offensive execution between the two teams.

USC’s three-point shooting was nothing short of exceptional, with an impressive 53.3% accuracy from beyond the arc. This sharpshooting display significantly outclassed Cal State Fullerton, who managed a mere 19% from three-point range. The Trojans’ ability to stretch the floor and capitalize on long-range opportunities undoubtedly played a pivotal role in the lopsided final score.

Cal State Fullerton’s 23 turnovers proved to be a significant factor in USC’s triumph. The Trojans capitalized on these mistakes, converting them into 29 points. This ability to turn defense into offense showcased USC’s strategic acumen and ability to exploit their opponent’s weaknesses.

USC also dominated the boards, securing 40 rebounds throughout the game. The rebounding advantage not only limited Cal State Fullerton’s second-chance opportunities but also fueled USC’s transition game, contributing to their offensive output.

The Trojans demonstrated their prowess in the paint, amassing 32 points compared to Cal State Fullerton’s 18. USC’s ability to establish dominance close to the basket highlighted the team’s versatility and their capacity to score from various areas on the court.

Despite the overwhelming victory, it’s noteworthy that JuJu Watkins took some time to find her rhythm. This revelation adds another layer to USC’s success, showcasing the team’s depth and adaptability. Even with a slow start, Watkins eventually emerged as a significant contributor, further emphasizing the Trojans’ overall talent.

Four of USC’s starters displayed remarkable three-point proficiency, each tallying more than three successful shots from beyond the arc. This balanced offensive attack showcased the team’s depth and versatility, making them a formidable opponent for any team in the league.

USC’s 93-44 blowout victory against Cal State Fullerton was a masterclass in basketball proficiency. From precise shooting percentages to defensive exploitation and a standout performance from JuJu Watkins, the Trojans showcased their prowess on both ends of the court. As they continue their journey through the season, this victory serves as a testament to USC’s status as a force to be reckoned with in PAC-12 women’s collegiate basketball.
