MINNEAPOLIS- – — Anthony Edwards helps bring the Minnesota Timberwolves back from a 19-point first half deficit in 108-106 win over the Clippers on Monday night.
Edwards scored 28 of his 37 points in the second half to beat Los Angeles for the third time this season.
With Minnestota down by one, Edwards made a step-back 3 with 1:12 to play. On the next play, Ivica Zubac missed an easy opportunity at the rim for Los Angeles which led to Edwards draining another 3 with 34.4 seconds left to put the Wolves up 106-101.
Kawhi Leonard was playing in his second game since missing the team’s first 34 while recovering from a right knee injury. He scored eight points on 3-of-11 shooting and he added two assists and two rebounds in nearly 21 minutes.
Norman Powell led the Clippers with 25 points, James Harden added 22 and Ivica Zubac had 17 points and 16 rebounds. The Clippers have lost three of their last four games.
The Clippers are now 20-16 will look to get back to winning on Wednesday night when they face the Denver Nuggets.
