INGLEWOOD, Calif.- – — The Clippers pickup a bounce back win by blowing out the Washington Wizards 110-93 on Thursday night.
Four starters returned for the Clippers after missing their matchup the night before against the Boston Celtics.
Those four players (James Harden, Ivica Zubac, Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell) combined to score 65 of the team’s 110 points led by Powell with 22.
Leonard who missed the past three games, scored 15 points and added 7 rebounds in 24 minutes. James Harden collected his 79th triple double of his career as he finished the game with 17 points, 13 assists and 12 rebounds.
“It means a lot, man, just impacting the game in other ways. Scoring is one thing, but rebounding the basketball, facilitating is another thing and just impacting the game,” Harden said. “You don’t have to be the best playe ron a court by just scoring the basketball every single night.”
Los Angeles had seven players scoring in double figures including Derrick Jones Jr. who added 19 points a day after scoring his career-high 29 the night before.
The Clippers jumped on the lowly Wizards early by taking a 63-41 led into the half behind big first and second quarters by Jones Jr. and Terance Mann.
This win ended the Clippers two-game skid.
Los Angeles will be back in action this Saturday night when they face off with the visiting Milwaukee Bucks at home in the Intuit Dome.
