OKLAHOMA CITY – – — The Clippers are blown out 116-98 after the Oklahoma City Thunder score 42-points in the third quarter to take control of the game on Thursday night.
Los Angles was without star guard James Harden who missed the game due to a groin injury.
Oklahoma City took full advantage of the Clippers’ star players absence. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander scored 29 points to lead the Thunder in the win.
The Clippers led by 16 in the first half before allowing a late run by the Thunder to cut the lead to 52-48 at halftime.
The third quarter was all Oklahoma City as they outscored Los Angeles 42-20 in the quarter.
The depth of the Thunder was too much for the shorthanded Clippers to handle.
Amir Coffey led the Clippers in scoring with 26 points. Coffey was the only player to score over 15 points for Los Angeles.
The Clippers hope to get healthier as they head home for a matchup with the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night.
