Following a tough stretch of games, the Los Angeles Lakers found their stride against the Sacramento Kings on December 28, 2025. In his post-game press conference, forward Jake LaRavia credited the team’s renewed sense of unity and effort for the victory. “It was a real together game,” LaRavia said. “We all had each other’s backs.”
The Lakers’ impressive performance, where they won all four quarters for the first time this season, came on the heels of a productive team meeting. “If we play like this every night… we’re a tough team to beat,” LaRavia stated, emphasizing the positive energy that carried over from their recent practice.
LaRavia, who has been a physical presence for the Lakers, also discussed his comfort playing in the post, a skill he honed during his college career. “If you go watch my college highlights, I was a post player. So, very comfortable playing with my back to the basket,” he explained.
He also touched on the experience of playing alongside a creative passer like Luka Dončić, advising teammates to “always have to be prepared, hands ready… because yeah, those passes will come.” LaRavia’s comments highlight the team’s focus on chemistry and playing off each other’s strengths.
