Los Angeles- In their last game before the All-Star break, the Los Angeles Clippers rallied from behind and defeated the Golden State Warriors 130-125 at the Chase Center.

Without their All-Star forward Kawhi Leonard who was out due to a left leg injury, James Harden and Paul George combined for 50 points. Harden scored 26 points, grabbed eight rebounds, and recorded seven assists. George contributed 24 points to go along with five assists and five rebounds.

Stephen Curry scored an impressive 41 points, further solidifying his status as one of the premier shooters in NBA history.  Curry became the first player ever to make seven or more 3-pointers in four consecutive games.

“I thought we let Steph get away from us,” George said. “So I thought once we locked in and keyed into those situations, we knew we had a chance.”

In the first half, the Clippers shot 43% from the field, converting 20 of 46 attempts. However, they struggled from beyond the arc, shooting only 25% and making just 4 of 16 three-point attempts.

The Warriors shot 44% from the field, going 22 of 50 on their field goal attempts. From beyond the arc, they shot 33%, making 8 of 24 three-point attempts in the first half.

In the second half, Norman Powell erupted for 15 of his 21 points making four of his four three-point attempts.

The Clippers trailed by 14 to open the final period. Head Coach Tyronn Lue was ejected early in the fourth quarter after receiving his second technical foul, which ignited at 10-0 run for the Clippers.

The Warriors shot 47% from the floor in the second half and shot 43% from the three-point line.

The Clippers shot 57% from the field and 40% from three-point range in the second half.

“Where them refs at now,” Ty Lue said. “Cheating that’s all they be doing” screamed Lue in a viral post-game clip as he went to go meet his squad to celebrate a tough road victory.

The Clippers head into All-Star break with a 36-17 record, tied for third in the best overall record, and third in the Western Conference standings.
